HOUSEKEEPING


Samoa is an island nation in the Southerm Pacific part of the Pacific known as Polynesia . The capital of Samoa is Ápia. Its population is about 185 thousand people. Samoan is the language of the Samoa Island, alongside English.

The flag of Samoa was oficially adopted on January, 1, 1962. The symbolic flag display: the white  stars of the Southerm Cross, the blue is said to represente freedom, red is representative of courage, as well as being a tradicional Samoan colors.




           About one-fifth of Samoans are Roman Catholics, and one-nineth are methodists. Pentecostals, sevent-day Adventists and other Christian groups have members more limited. Each village contains at least one church, and the pastor of the church occupies the largest residents in the village. The pastor of the church is the richest person in the village as has most luxury at the expense of the congregation of his church. It is necessary that all people go to church on Sundays and sometimes even during the week.





          Many of the schools are church operated. The education given has a very strict Christian curriculum and usually takes place at the churches.




          The Samoan Tala is the currency of Samoa. The currency code for Tala is WST, and the currency symbol is $.
